Election Judges:
About
Albany County depends on good citizens who volunteer to work as election judges. On election days, each precinct needs from three to eight judges to work processing and assisting voters. Judges need to be registered voters and must be physically, morally and mentally competent to perform the duties. Judges must not attempt to influence voters or make comments about candidates or political parties.
Training School
All judges and members of counting boards are obligated to attend at least one training school for each election. Albany County pays $125 for working an election from 6 am to approximately 8 pm or whenever the precinct balances. There is an additional $20 payment for attending a training school.

Student Judges:
About
Whether participating in the Student Election Judge Program (PDF) or helping the County Clerk’s Office conduct the election, opportunities are available for students aged 16 to 18. At the polls, a Student Election Judge is an official who works side-by-side with adult Election Judges to ensure election integrity.
By participating in the program, you will be paid and may be eligible to earn school credit. This experience is a great resume builder. For a complete description of the Program and an application, please visit the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Website.
